TRINBAGOPAN: We are now at the Sagicor Exodus Pan Yard and the place is packed to capacity. The band is getting ready to give the crowd a little taste of their tune of choice for Panorama. Mr. Ainsworth Mohammed, the manager of Sagicor Exodus Steel Orchestra is here with me now to shed some light on what is in store for Exodus in 2006.
AINSWORTH: What should we expect from Exodus this year?
AINSWORTH: We will be doing a Destra's tune. We changed from the normal calypso that we do to Destra's 'Max It Up'.
TRINBAGOPAN: Why was the change done?
AINSWORTH: The last three years we did 'De Fosto' compositions. We felt it was necessary to make the change with the music going in a certain direction and all. We felt we wanted to go with the waves. We have been holding it for some time now but we do not think we could hold it back anymore (laughter).
TRINBAGOPAN: What does Exodus have in store for the next year, after Panorama?
AINSWORTH: We have a number of tours internationally. We have the Ramajay Plan and then the local leg of the World Festival.
TRINBAGOPAN: Do you have any parting statements you would like to make?
AINSWORTH: The Tunapuna Community, Exodus and all the steelbands for that matter, wish and hope that everybody will understand the challenges we are facing, and cooperate in having a safe and great Carnival.
TRINBAGOPAN: Thank you very much.
